Romans 3:23

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 5:12

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

All have sinned.
Every single person is a sinner, separated from God, because of our sins.
If you say have not sinned, you call God a liar.

1 John 1:10

If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

If you're honest, you know you have sinned.
All those secret things you don't want anyone to know about.
All those things you've done, said and thought, you wouldn't want to tell people about.
God knows them.

Isaiah 1:18

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

"Come now", says the LORD, "let us reason together", you know you've sinned, but God's plan is to make to make you white, to make you clean from all sin.
Sin cannot enter heaven.
You and I are sinners who cannot enter heaven.
And so we must be washed clean from our sins.

Revelation 1:5
"Unto him (Jesus Christ) that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,"

Jesus Christ came to die on the cross to pay for our sins with his own blood.
The payment for sin, is death to the body (the flesh).
The life of the flesh (the body) is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11).
So the blood of Jesus Christ was required for payment for ALL sins.
That's why we are washed clean from all sins in his blood, if we believe that he died to pay for our sins and rose again the third day, conquering sin, death and hell.
Death has (because of sin) has been defeated by Jesus Christ.
And the gift of eternal life (heaven) is given to all who believe on him as their own personal Saviour.

Ye have sinned against the Lord:
Be sure your sin will find you out.
Numbers 32:23

Here are just some of the sins mentioned in the Holy Bible -
 

All unrighteousness is sin.
Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, lust, pride, lying, 

idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, communication with spirits, greed, unforgiveness,

taking the LORD's name in vain, and many many more.

There are 3 categories that all sins fall under.

The Lust of the Flesh.
The Lust of the Eyes.
The Pride of Life.

James 1:14-15

But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
